This fruit looks similar to a nut.
It is said that the process of extracting the seeds contained within the hard shell is traditionally done by hand.
After harvesting, drying, and pulverizing, boil it with water to separate the fat.
This is the shea butter we know :)
Shea butter extracted as is is called Row Shea butter.
After further purification, it is refined to a milder and softer texture.
It becomes Reined Shea butter!
