Norður Salt uses a unique and sustainable method of producing pure sea salt flakes from Arctic seawater and geothermal heat. The process was invented in Iceland in 1753 but was forgotten for centuries. In keeping with the concept of an eco-friendly product, the packaging is made with a unique adhesive-free folding method, and the front panel opens outward for easy access. The core visual of the mermaid is taken from Norse mythology and represents the brand’s strengths: purity, freshness and rich complexity.
